The Spell

For 15 years I have had the idea that there is a message from "the gods" to be discovered in the alphabet. The idea that the order of letters of the alphabet is a letter by God to men has been burning solidly in my world of thoughts. It has, in a certain sense, been tatooed directly onto my cerebral cortex and will not let itself be removed.
Between Christmas and New Year, 1987, I wrote out a letter and number order from 22 characters and was from this time on convinced that this order was received from a higher intelligence. I wrote the 22 numbers at the time as follows:

2, 3, 300, 400, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
200, 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 1

It is a regular, "logical" order with 3 "errors".
The classical numerology of the Greek and Hebrew alphabets is an order of nine 1-steps, nine 10-steps and nine 100-steps.
The order that I "received" may also be expressed simply in the numbers from 1 to 22:

2, 3, 21, 22, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 1

The aforementioned "errors" in the logical sequence of the numbers are:
The 21 and the 22 between the 3 and the 4, and the change of direction after the 10.
The order, first written from left to right, continues from right to left. An additional "error" is the number 1 between the numbers 10 and 11, also where the change of direction occurs.
Now it seems from a first glance to border on idiocy to assume a message in this order.
I will show, in particular with the knowledge in Crowley's "Book of the Law", a message located in this numerical order.

We first write the letters of the Latin alphabet in place of the numbers in the sequence shown:

B, C, U, V, D, E, F, G, H, I, J
T, S, R, Q, P, O, N, M, L, K, A

To reveal the secret we must now perform a permutation: We write the letter order from left to right in 2 rows and set the letters alternately above and below:

B, U, D, F, H, J, S, Q, O, M, K
C, V, E, G, I, T, R, P, N, L, A

The last permutation needed in order to reveal this secret is the transference of this letter order to the Tree of Life.
We read the "message" from right to left and from top to bottom.
We place the first letter, the "K", on the tree of life where we would find the letter Aleph in the classical Kaballah; we place the second letter, the "M", on the path of "Beth", the next letter, the "O", on the path of "Gimmel", etc...
So we have created the following oracle:

The message is in the center of the Tree of Life on the 8 paths which are connected with the 6th sephirah, Tiphereth.
The sun is allocated to Tiphereth.
We find the following words:

"Sohar"
"Sun"

"Sohar" means "splendour" in Hebrew. It is the title of what is probably the most important book of the Kabbalists.
"Sun" is the sun in English.

We now examine the card "The Aeon" from the Crowley Tarot, easily producing the following associations from the oracle:

We find on the Tarot card the god Horus in his manifestation as Ra-Hoor-Khuit (the falcon), we see Harpocrates or Hoor-paar-kraat (the child with the gesture of silence), Nuit (the blue woman representing the vault of the sky) and Hadit (the winged globe).
In the oracle we find in addition to "Sohar" and "Sun", also "Harp" for "Harpocrates", "Ra-Ho" for "Ra-Hoor-Khuit", "Nu" for "Nuit" and "Ha" for "Hadit".

>From verse 21, chapter 2 of Crowley's Book of the Law:
".....Nuit, Hadit, Ra-Hoor-Khuit. The Sun, Strength & Sight, light, these are for the servants of the Star and the Snake."

There is, in the order of the Tarot trumps and their correspondence to the zodiac, an irregularity in the cards "Lust" and "Adjustment" and their correspondence to the signs of the lion and scales. Crowley's proposed solution consisted of creating the same irregularity in the trumps "The Emperor" and "The Star" (corresponding to Aries and Aquarius) to produce a symmetry of the "errors" of the allocations in the zodiac. If we add to the letter found on the path of the card "The Star" in our oracle by the one which is in the place of "The Emperor", and do the same with the letters found on the paths of "Lust" and "Adjustment", then the letters "D" and "I" are added to out oracle:

Both of these new letters add themselves perfectly to the preceeding word and sound associations:
We now find not only "Ha" for "Hadit", but also "Had".
We now find not only "Nu" for "Nuit", but also "Nui".

In my AHA publication about the hidden 7777 in the Tree of Life (also found at http://www.claasvommars.de -> "My Home" -> "Kabballa"), I integrated the end-letters in the examination of the paths of the tree. The end-Nun is on the 25th place in the order of the hebrew alphabet and found on the Tree of Life on the same path as the simple "Nun". We observe in our oracle, after we arrived at the end with the 22nd letter, the first letter as the 23rd, the second letter as the 24th and the third letter as the 25th, and then place this "virtual" 25th letter on the old place of the letter "Nun" (coincidentally the position of "N" on our oracle), adding an "O" to our oracle:

This letter also adds itself perfectly to the preceeding word and sound associations: For "Harpocrates" we now have not only "Harp", but also "Harpo".
(The "real" "O" - not the virtual one - is on the path of "The Priestess", upon whose lap lies a musical instrument. A harp?)

What does this mean?

I have lived almost 18 years with the "Book of the Law". What I should have learned in that time is that "because of the fall of because that he is not there again", as it is stated in verse 20, chapter 3 of the book. Or I should remember what Joseph Gaardner in "Sophie's World" so clearly underlined: a real philosopher must not draw hasty conclusions.
I must not say:
Because in the oracle this and that appears, I must focus sharply on that and that. But I can not do otherwise. I ask: "Why?" "What is the conclusion?" "What is the sense, the message of the oracle?"
The message of the Book of the Law reads: "Do what thou wilt".
And because the names of the gods of the new aeon are found in the oracle, the oracle underlines the message "Do what thou wilt".
To turn the volume up:
"Do what thou wilt!"

Verse 74, chapter 3 of the book reads:
"There is a splendour in my name hidden and glorious, as the sun of midnight is ever the son."

The oracle speaks of "Sohar", of splendour and the sun.

Harpocrates, or as he is named in the Book of the Law, Hoor-paar-kraat, forms together with his twin Ra-Hoor-Khuit, the double godhead Heru-Ra-Ha.
Crowley wrote in the Book of Thoth about the card "The Sun": "This is one of the simplest cards; it represents Heru-ra-ha, the lord of the new aeon ..."

I also read "Harpoon" in the oracle.
I associate "Tzaddi" with "fish hook". The Hebrew letter, which in the old classification belongs to "The Star", is allocated to "The Emperor" in the Crowley Tarot.
There is here a reference to the "error" in the alphabet which created the oracle:
Between "C" and "D", phonetically "Tzede" (="Tzaddi") stand "U" and "V".
"UV" raises the association "UV Light", the light of the sun.
The sun is a star, all stars are suns and every man and avery woman is a star.
The second "error" in the alphabet of the oracle is the change of direction and the "A" before the "k". A "k" looks like the letter "Tzaddi" if it is on its side.
The "error", that after the "C" the letters "U" and "V" follow, produces the word "CUV", which is phonetically close to the letter "Qoph", belonging to the Tarot card "The Moon". The moon reflects the UV light of the sun.

Around sephirah no. 9 ("Yesod") we find the word "Epic".

By using the Emperor-Star key, a "S" is added and we can read "Pisce", in which the Latin word for "fish", "Piscis", or the Italian "Pesce", is hidden.

Sephirah no. 9 is allocated to the moon, and the Tarot card "The Moon" corresponds to the sign Pisces. The Hebrew letter "Nun" means "fish" and belongs to the Tarot card "Death". The gods play with symbolism here, in which the letters around Tiphereth (the sun) are the fish hook and the letters around Yesod (the moon) are the fish.

The Book of the Law was dictated to Crowley by the envoy of the god of silence, Harpocrates or Hoor-paar-kraat. This god of silence is also the creator of the alphabet and he "imbues" me. I recognize my name "Claas" twice in Crowley's original handwriting from the Book of the Law: in Hoor-paar-kraat and in Heru-pa-kraath, both times in the word "kraat" or "kraath":

In verse 7, chapter 1:
"Behold! it is revealed by Aiwass the minister of Hoor-paar-kraat."
and in verse 8, chapter 2:
"Who worshipped Heru-pa-kraath have worshipped me; ill, for I am the worshipper." In the last case "Claas" is in "kraath" from right to left: "saalC"

Verse 7, chapter 1 was my personal annual oracle of New Year's Eve 2001-2.

In Verse 7, chapter 2 it says:
"Come unto me is a foolish word, for it is I that go."
At the crown of our oracle are the letters "K" "O" "M", where we can read "come".

The oracle thus says:
"The brilliant god of silence comes from the sun ..." ?!?!

I attempted to find out if there was a "recipe" for my "channelling" ...
When I wrote down the letter sequence in 1987 (the alphabet with "errors"), I was very drunk and stoned. I took as much hash and wine as I could without becoming sick. In this period of life I smoked many cigarettes and drank very much coffee.
I received the intuition for the described "Sohar-Sun-Harpocrates"-oracle in the night after the spring equinox 2002.
I had, up to and including this night, drunk no alcohol for 10 weeks. I did not smoke pot since the new year and I haven't smoked cigarettes for years.
Up to the equinox I fasted for 11 days (2 days fruit only, 7 days nothing at all to eat, and again 2 days with fruit only). On the day of the equinox I was in a sweat lodge. On the following day I could not sleep because I drank coffee. I am an absolute tea drinker and drink coffee only every couple of months. I drank coffee at Easter at Emerson College. (Easter was celebrated early because of holidays.) According to Rudolf Steiner, Easter time is ruled by the archangel Raphael, who inhabits the sphere of Mercury, from which the god Thoth comes.
For a successful "channelling", it thus seems that no alcohol, no drugs and great "purity", or the opposite, is useful.
I also assume that my consistent use of Mantak Chia's "Tao Yoga" promoted the intuition for the oracle. The book "Taoists secrets of Love" by Mantak Chia is highly recommended.
In 1987, as I received the foundation alphabet to the oracle, I believed that a riotous sexual life was indispensable for my well being and (magical) life. But: for approximately a month up to and including the spring equinox of 2002 I was completely abstinent. I had imposed upon myself for 20 days, until the equinox, to not use Tarot cards and not practice Kabballa; it proved difficult to accept: I am in a certain sense addicted to writing Hebrew letters.
For a week until the spring equinox I meditated upon the staff of Mercury. This also may have influenced my intuition.

I must at last emphasize: there is no set of instructions, no recipe, for a successful contact with Harpocrates. Either all or nothing. Either too much or too little. (That can be a key...)
And: There is no law other than: Do what thou wilt.

I find the oracle to be wonderful. All the names of the gods. Sohar! The Sun!
Marvelously wonderful. And what proves it?
I would say: The alphabet is "The spell of Ra-Hoor-Khu". Do you agree with me?

Fürst Claas vom Mars in April 2002.

P.S.: A small footnote of the Spider:
In the April/May 2002 issue of AHA there is a postscript to "The Game and the Spider: The Solution". Here we find a permutation in which "Hod", the sephirah of Mercury, can be recognized as "Raphael", the archangel of Mercury. We transfer this letter order in the same style and manner as with the "Sohar-Sun-Harpocrates"-oracle to the tree of life and also use the "end" Star-Emperor and Adjustment-Lust, thus adding the letters around Tiphereth in their traditional numerical values to 777. In the oracle the word "Sohar" appears in Hebrew: Zain-He-Resh.
